At the United Kickboxing Academy, we believe that martial arts is more than physical training—it’s a journey of personal growth, discipline, and character development. Our Code of Conduct exists to guide that journey, ensuring that every student and parent upholds the standards of respect, integrity, and perseverance that define UKA. Together, we build champions—not only in the ring, but in life.

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to maintain a culture of respect, excellence, and sportsmanship across all UKA programs. It ensures that every student, parent, and coach contributes to a positive, disciplined, and inspiring environment—both on and off the mat.

At the heart of the United Kickboxing Academy are five values that guide everything we do

· Respect – Treat others, your coaches, and yourself with dignity and honour.

· Focus – Be present, attentive, and give your best effort in every session.

· Discipline – Commit to your training, your goals, and the principles of martial arts.

· Perseverance – Push through challenges with courage, resilience, and determination.

· Integrity – Do the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Students are expected to demonstrate professionalism and respect at all times

· Bow when entering and leaving the training area as a sign of respect.

· Address all instructors respectfully (“Coach,” “Sir,” or “Ma’am”).

· Keep uniforms clean, tidy, and worn with pride.

· Arrive on time, prepared, and with a positive attitude.

· Listen attentively during instruction and avoid distractions or unnecessary talking.

· Treat all teammates, equipment, and facilities with care and respect.

· Demonstrate humility and self-control, particularly during sparring.

· Refrain from swearing, teasing, bullying, or any negative behaviour.

· Encourage and support fellow students—UKA succeeds as one team.

As representatives of UKA, students must uphold martial arts values wherever they go

· Represent UKA with pride, respect, and professionalism at school, home, and in the community.

· Be a role model of kindness, leadership, and responsibility.

· Never use martial arts techniques to harm others outside of training or sanctioned competition.

· Maintain good behaviour and effort in school and other activities—discipline extends beyond the mat.

· Avoid online negativity, bullying, or disrespectful behaviour on social media.

· Always wear UKA apparel respectfully at public events or competitions.

Parents play a vital role in supporting the UKA community

· Encourage your child’s growth with positivity and patience.

· Respect the authority and expertise of the coaching team—avoid coaching from the sidelines.

· Ensure your child arrives on time, in full uniform, ready to train.

· Communicate respectfully and directly with staff regarding concerns.

· Promote teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship at all times.

· Avoid gossip, negativity, or behaviour that disrupts the learning environment.

· Celebrate effort, improvement, and attitude—not just wins or belt achievements.

· Be a role model in language, attitude, and respect—both inside and outside the academy.

All members—students, parents, and staff—commit to maintaining the spirit of UKA by

· Upholding the UKA values of Respect, Focus, Discipline, Perseverance, and Integrity.

· Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone.

· Taking responsibility for their words, actions, and influence.

· Treating all individuals with fairness, kindness, and equality regardless of background or ability.

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in appropriate action being taken, including

· Verbal or written warnings.

· Temporary suspension from classes, events, or competitions.

· Removal from UKA programs or membership in severe cases.

Students and parents acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to uphold the UKA Student & Parent Code of Conduct. Together, we commit to representing the United Kickboxing Academy with respect, excellence, and integrity in all that we do.
