Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@unitedkickboxingacademy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No. Trial lessons disrupt the flow and quality of our sessions. Instead, we book a private assessment (free of charge) so coaches can evaluate current ability, confidence, and readiness, then recommend a clear starting point and program.

A coach runs age-appropriate movement, coordination, and basic technical drills to gauge level and learning style. You’ll leave with a proposed program and suggested weekly training load.

We welcome children 4+ years. Placement is based on age, ability, and potential to ensure every child trains at the right level and intensity.

  • Active Start: 1–2 sessions per week (~60 minutes). Fundamentals, coordination, and confidence.

  • Foundation: 2–3 sessions per week (~60 minutes). Technique, conditioning, and steady belt progress.

  • Development Team: 2–4 sessions per week (~60 minutes). Advanced skills, conditioning, and controlled sparring (by coach approval).

Please arrive 10 minutes early. If you are 10+ minutes late, coaches may restrict participation in the warm-up for safety. Sessions are not extended for late arrivals.

We don’t group solely by age. We consider ability and potential to place each student where they’ll learn best. On average, 10 students per coach (approx. 1:10 coach-to-student ratio)

No. Sparring is introduced gradually and only when a student shows appropriate technique, control, and composure. Each student is assessed individually. When sparring begins, protective gear and clear contact rules apply.

There’s no fixed timeline. Progress depends on commitment to training, attendance, coach feedback, and readiness at each stage. Consistent effort and quality practice drive progress; coaches will advise when a student is ready to grade.

Yes. Students progress through a structured ranking pathway (White to Black). Gradings are chargeable (AED 250–500) depending on level. Coaches advise when a student is ready to grade.

Once you enrol, a class time and coach are allocated to your child to support consistency and structure. These slots are agreed in advance and are subject to availability. We cannot guarantee specific days/times will be available, and changes may not be possible during busy periods.

Yes. Students who consistently meet technical, tactical, conditioning and composure benchmarks can be invited into the Development Team, which is the pathway to competitive opportunities.specific days/times will be available, and changes may not be possible during busy periods.
